Dr. James specializes in working with all ages including children, adolescents and adults. She follows the assumption that while there are commonalities among individuals, she understand that each person is unique and can only be understood fully if temperament, genetics, life experiences, and current situations are taken into account. Her approach to understanding her clients is based on psychodynamic and attachment theory, while utilizing cognitive-behavioral techniques when necessary.
